Kate Marcotte is Chief Operating Officer of American Engineering Testing, Inc. (AET), a 100% employee-owned engineering, environmental, and construction materials testing firm headquartered in St. Paul, Minnesota. Guided by its mission, Working Together to Build a More Certain World, AET partners with clients around the globe to deliver engineering and consulting solutions that help create safe, sustainable, and successful projects. Kate oversees the company’s operations, finance, quality, and safety functions and serves on AET’s Board of Directors, Executive Team, and Senior Leadership Team. AET has over 500 employees and annual revenues exceeding $80 million.

With more than 20 years of experience in the architecture, engineering, and construction industry, Kate has held leadership roles spanning operations, finance, and corporate governance, including Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Corporate Controller. Her expertise includes operational leadership, organizational and cultural transformation, financial management, strategic planning, and mergers and acquisitions.

Beyond AET, Kate serves as Chair of the ACEC-MN Workforce Foundation, Vice Chair of the ACEC National Workforce Committee, and is a graduate of ACEC’s Senior Executive Institute, Class 27.

Kate lives in Minnesota with her husband, Jacque, and their two children, Maggie and Alex.
